Introduction

This bill would transfer the licensing, oversight, and regulation of pedicabs from the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) to the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC). The bill would require TLC to promulgate regulations, issue licenses to pedicab businesses and drivers, and enforce laws and regulations related to pedicabs. TLC would also be required to study and report on strategies to lower insurance premiums for pedicab businesses and drivers.
