Brooklyn Borough Board

Borough Board

The Brooklyn Borough Board brings together the Borough President (its chair), Brooklyn's City Council members, and the chair of each of the borough's 18 community boards. Created by City Charter §85, it reviews land-use applications that affect more than one community district, weighs in on the borough's budget priorities, and can adopt borough-wide plans. Community board chairs vote only on matters that affect their district. Borough Board meetings are posted as individual events (with agenda PDFs) on the office's events calendar.
