Staten Island Borough Board

Borough Board

The Staten Island Borough Board brings together the Borough President (its chair), Staten Island's City Council members, and the chair of each of the borough's 3 community boards. Created by City Charter §85, it reviews land-use applications that affect more than one community district, weighs in on the borough's budget priorities, and can adopt borough-wide plans. Community board chairs vote only on matters that affect their district. The office posts video recordings of Borough Board meetings; no agendas or upcoming schedule online.
