The CCRB's 2024 annual report covers complaint activity, investigations, bias-based policing, the disciplinary process, mediation, and body-worn camera evidence. It reports the agency received 5,663 complaints in 2024, the most since 2012. With body-worn camera footage, the share of fully investigated cases with an unidentified subject officer fell to 12% (from 21% before cameras) and cases closed as "Unable to Determine" fell to 22% (from 52%). The CCRB collected more than 7,500 hours of body-worn camera video in 2024. Facing an investigator shortage, it closed 1,440 complaints without a full investigation. The Board's Racial Profiling and Bias-Based Policing unit substantiated bias-based policing allegations against 63 officers.
