American LGBTQ+ Museum

The American LGBTQ+ Museum is a New York institution, in development since 2017, dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and culture of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. It holds a New York State museum charter and is building its permanent home in a new wing at the New-York Historical Society. It is a fiscally sponsored partner project of the Fund for the City of New York, and New York City funding directed to the museum was routed through the Fund.
