LDV, Inc. is a Burlington, Wisconsin manufacturer of mobile command centers, SWAT trucks, and other specialty vehicles for police, fire, and other government agencies, founded in 1977, according to the company's own website. New York City has been a customer of this out-of-state manufacturer since 2009: $15.2 million awarded across 19 contracts (including expired ones), almost entirely through DCAS's Division of Municipal Supply Service. Its one currently active contract, "Mobile Command Center - NYCEM-GSA," worth $1.24 million, was awarded through an intergovernmental, non-competitive purchasing arrangement, as were most of its older mobile command center and SWAT truck contracts; a smaller number were won through competitive sealed bid, including "PROCURE MOBILE COMMAND CENTERS FOR THE NYC DSNY" ($2.4 million) and "PROCURE MOBILE COMMAND CENTER FOR DSNY" ($2.4 million).
