Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. was the corporate and investment banking subsidiary of Tokyo based Mizuho Financial Group until it merged with Mizuho Bank, Ltd. in 2013 to form a single Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (mizuhogroup.com). Its New York branch, at 1271 Avenue of the Americas, provides wholesale corporate banking, trade finance, and treasury services (mizuhogroup.com). Since 2011 it has held three New York City Office of the Comptroller contracts worth $41 million total, each tagged "Other / unspecified" on Checkbook NYC's award-method field: "LETTER OF CREDIT SERVICES FY 2012, SERIES G, SUBSERIES G-6" ($20.1 million), "GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, FY 2013, SERIES A, SUBSERIES A-2,3" ($18.7 million), and "LETTER OF CREDIT FOR GO FY04, SERIES A,SUB SERIES A-6" ($2.2 million, ended 2014); $36 million has been paid to date.
