New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) is a 501(c)(3) federation of more than 60 faith-based and charitable organizations, founded in 2003 to coordinate disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts among New York City's religious communities. It holds $30.8 million in active NYC contracts as of August 2026, mainly with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for community-preparedness and clubhouse programs, and previously held a $75.4 million no-bid emergency contract with Housing Preservation and Development for asylum-seeker shelter administration that ended in 2025.
