Vasso Waste Systems, Inc.

City-funded organization

Vasso Waste Systems, Inc. (doing business as Vasso Systems) is a Brooklyn truck-equipment supplier founded by Tony Vasso in 1983 that, per its own site, sells and services truck bodies, hydraulics, and related parts, including dump bodies and lift systems, for private and municipal customers across the five boroughs. Its sole active NYC contract is a $5.25 million competitive sealed-bid agreement with DCAS's Division of Municipal Supply Service to procure genuine repair parts for Heil dump and waste-body equipment, part of $20 million awarded to the company since 2006. Per Checkbook NYC, essentially all of that history consists of similar competitive sealed-bid contracts to supply Heil, Galbreath, and Aquatech genuine replacement parts and industrial shop sweepers to the city.
