Violence Intervention Program (VIP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in New York City (EIN 13-3540337), described on its own site as the only New York City organization led by and for Latinx survivors of domestic and sexual violence, operating four non-residential service programs, two residential programs (shelter and transitional housing), and a 24/7 hotline for survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence. It contracts with the Department of Social Services for domestic-violence and gender-based-violence services, including non-residential program support in the Bronx and the Morivivi safe-dwellings shelter program, holding $9 million in active city contracts as of August 2026 (three registrations) and $41 million awarded since 2006 across 37 registrations; 82 percent of that contract value ($34 million across 34 contracts) was won without a fresh competitive bid, largely through negotiated contracts and renewals rather than new RFPs.
