The Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center is a Latino arts and community space at 1680 Lexington Avenue in East Harlem, housed in a former 1880s public school building named for Puerto Rican poet Julia de Burgos. It includes the Julia de Burgos Performance and Arts Center, with a theater and event pavilion. The Hispanic Federation was selected by the NYC Economic Development Corporation to serve as fiscal conduit and administrator for the center's arts spaces, and city funding for the center was routed through the Hispanic Federation.
