At its Stated Meeting the Council enacted four local laws. Int 0821 requires the Department for the Aging to keep non-digital access to its forms and services, Int 0009 orders a study of how providers get permits to run a child care program, Int 0579 sets up an outreach campaign to enroll students in early childhood education, and Int 0055 requires signage describing certain local laws and know-your-rights information. Members also approved 16 resolutions and communications, including a batch of Section 577 property tax exemptions for affordable housing sites across the boroughs, a Fiscal Year 2027 budget modification (MN-8), and resolutions urging Albany to act on Paid Family Leave transfers, child care assistance, and transportation for older adults. The Council referred 73 new bills, resolutions, and land use applications to committee.
