A joint oversight hearing, held with the Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure and Public Safety, on the regulation, accountability, and safety of micromobility across the city. Members consider more than a dozen bills on e-bikes, mopeds, and delivery work, from licensing delivery services (Int 0950-2026) and requiring third-party apps to verify moped registrations (Int 0389-2026) to banning the sale and rental of class three electric bikes (Int 0244-2026) and setting up a trade-in program for powered bicycles (Int 0985-2026).
