The Committee on Mental Health and Substance Use holds a joint oversight hearing on access to gender-affirming care and the associated mental health outcomes for transgender and nonbinary youth. Members also consider Int 0949-2026, which would require the health department to post LGBTQI+ health and gender-affirming care resources and a searchable map of services online, plus two resolutions urging Albany to mandate anti-bias training for medical students (Res 0208-2026) and to establish a state gender-affirming care program (Res 0547-2026).
