What you can still act on

Before a New York City agency can make or change a rule, it has to publish the proposal and take public comment on it. This is every proposed rule currently open, with the hearing date and comment deadline exactly as the agency published them. Anyone can comment, and agencies have to respond to the comments they receive. If you have set your area, your community board's upcoming meetings are listed here too, soonest first alongside the rules.

Every row says whether it is citywide or your own board: proposed rules apply to the whole city, wherever you live. Sources: the City Record's proposed rules list and each community board's own calendar. Dates are set by the agency or the board, not by this site.
