The Catholic School Region of the Northwest and South Bronx is, per the Archdiocese of New York's own Catholic Schools site, one of nine regional school divisions of the Archdiocese, overseeing Catholic elementary and high schools in the western and southern Bronx, several of which offer state funded Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) seats. It has no active NYC contracts as of the site's 2026-08-08 data pull, but Checkbook NYC records $122 million awarded to it since 2014 (paid to date $80 million) through NYC Department of Education contracts such as "UPK-BTF" and "UPK - Universal Prekindergarten Services," of which 41% of contract value ($50 million across 21 contracts) was awarded without a fresh competitive bid.
