The company runs a dedicated "New York City Schools Online Catalog" site selling anti-theft security devices for school computers, peripherals and audio-visual equipment; that catalog is operated by Datamation itself, not by the Department of Education. Its largest contracts were "To provide security devices and installation services" ($32 million, a renewal not re-bid) and "Security Devices for CPU and AV Equipment" ($4 million, also a renewal not re-bid), together accounting for 85% of the $42 million in contract value the company has been awarded by the city since 2009 (a total of $36 million across 2 contracts awarded without a fresh competitive bid).
