Imperial Bag & Paper Co LLC

City-funded organization

Imperial Bag & Paper Co LLC is a foodservice packaging and janitorial supply distributor based in Jersey City, NJ; in 2017 it acquired Miami's Dade Paper to form Imperial Dade (rebranded Imperial Brady in 2026), a national distributor to restaurants, schools, and other institutions. It holds $21.1 million in active NYC Department of Education contracts as of August 2026 for "Compostable foodservice products," awarded through a competitive sealed bid, and has received $85 million in city contracts since 2007, mostly through the DOE and DCAS's Division of Municipal Supply Service. 66% of contract value ($57 million across 6 contracts) has been awarded without a fresh competitive bid, including an earlier DOE contract, "Furnish and Deliver Five Compartment Compostable Plates," that city records show as a renewal rather than a new bid.
