Symbrant Technologies Inc. is a Farmingdale, New York security and life-safety systems company, focused since its founding in 2002 on the design, installation, maintenance and repair of public address, access control, alarm and surveillance systems along with structured cabling and networking infrastructure, serving K-12 schools plus corporate and governmental clients across Long Island, Westchester, Rockland and New York City. In March 2025 it was acquired by Eastern DataComm and now operates as "Symbrant Technologies, An Eastern DataComm Company." It currently holds one active New York City contract, a $4.33 million Department of Education contract as of August 2026 for "Repair and Maintenance of Public Address Systems ACs 1-5," awarded through a competitive sealed bid. Across all agencies (the Department of Education, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, and the Department of Sanitation) it has been awarded $57 million total across 11 contracts since 2011, of which $16 million has been paid to date. 81% of its total NYC contract value, $46 million across 3 contracts, was awarded without a fresh competitive bid, driven mainly by a $44 million "Repairs of Security
